For a Happy and Joyful Life

"Some cause happiness wherever they go; others whenever they go."
                                                                                      - Oscar Wilde
On reading the above quote from my friends what’s app status, two people popped up on my mind. Person 1 - who cause happiness wherever they go and Person2 - who cause happiness whenever they go away! No one loves to talk about the Person 2, neither I. But need to mention about Person1. A person, who always carries a big smile not only in his lips, but in his eyes, cheeks and in his walk. One could actually sense a positive vibration whenever he comes.  I always see him very happy and smiling.
My curiosity did not let me stop from asking him, "I just wanted to ask you. How you are always happy?”
"Will tell. But you have to pay session fees" he replied with a big smile.
“If happiness is brought and learnt from coaching lessons, then everyone would afford for it.” I thought and agreed to pay the session fees and the fee was a free coffee from my office cafeteria.
“We will talk in detail but one important thing, you have to do what I say” he said as he pressed the Espresso button on the coffee machine
We sat on a chair and sipping his tea he said, “First thing. There is no such happy thing or magic that you need to do to be happy. It’s just realization and truly speaking you are one of the person in our office who is full of energy”
He continued, “We never allow anyone to do good or bad without ourselves. Whatever you think you will become and god/Universe will offer you that. If you think, you are suffering; you will find all this in your life. If you start appreciating what you have and you find all this in your life. Always be grateful for what you have. If you can’t enjoy this world, then you are doing bad to yourself. Never waste tears for anything + anyone. You born alone and will die alone. People in today’s world have nothing, still they are living. They try to learn many things in life, meet new people. There is no magic in this world and no one is special. It’s what we do decide our present and future. No one can change past. You can live crying or you can life with a smile happily. You can die crying or you can die smiling. Choice is yours.
And Start helping people. Help as many as people you can. In all possible ways, not just by giving money. Buy happiness for them. life will buy happiness for you. And there you will start to live life then everything will start to change.  Buy food for old. Give clothes to them. Spend some time with poor kids and look at their face.
Your wish your life!!
Always listen to inner voice! Break the rules!! And be the change!!!

3 Things to realize before it’s too late

There are three things in life that everyone should realize at the earliest in order to achieve success and peace in life.

I have a big Financial/Family/Health/Emotional Problem:
If you are the one who says the above statement, then it’s time to burn those negative thoughts into ash. All problems tend to be gigantic just by over-thinking. There are only 2 things in the universe.
  1. The things which are beyond our control - The so Called "FATE"
  2. The things which are under our control.
Things such as accident, falling sick, losing a valuable thing/person are beyond our control. Why to give importance to those things when is not in our control. Just accept, learn to "let go" and stay positive for the next good beginning.
Second, that is in our control.  - Be wise and take cautious decision in the all the things you chase. Be wise in choosing friends, eating habits and thoughts. When a person starts doing it, even the things which are beyond the control can be restricted to certain level.

Talent/Lack of Time/I am not lucky pal:
“I am not lucky enough”, “It’s too late to start now”,” It’s not the right time”, “I am not a wannabe” are only the road blockers for achieving the passion and dreams.

I don’t have time- If that’s the answer for achieving the passion, come-on... It means, it’s treated as least important. Because Have you ever stopped yourself from brushing your teeth? Because its very important for you( if not at least for others )

I am not talented: There is no such thing called "talented person." There are only people who just practice and work hard. And add a spice of persistence to Practice and hard work. You will become the talented person that world would envy.

Not lucky enough - just because you are struggling does NOT mean you are failing.  Every great success requires some kind of struggle to get there. so stop finding excuses for pursing your passion.
On your marks, get set and go...

Final, but most important one.
Love yourself! Love yourself!! Love yourself!!!
Love and admire yourself than anything and any person in the world and Stop expecting love from others. No one can give you the care and love you need apart from yourself.
Secondarily, love, Appreciate and care for the people truly whoever you meet. But learn to accept and move on when they are not with you and learn to move on happily. Relationship and the people are the ones who keep moving and changing and trust that you will meet better person always.

Happy Womens day

I always owe women who succeeded in both Personal and professional life while keeping their passion alive and growing. In that list, I always respect one person - Vaishali Kasture - Managing Director of Goldman Sachs, Mother of a kid, an avid runner and sports freak.
With simple change in our attitude, we too can reach those heights. And in this women’s day, I would like to share few points which I gained through my experience.
  1.  Make Right choice at the right time and stick with that decision. Never ever feel guilty about that decision in future.
  2. Life is a car race. It’s practically not possible to always run in 4th Gear. It’s okay to take a step back and be in the first gear for a while.
  3. Networking - Build a connection with the people you meet and be in touch with a bunch of people who are your supporters.
  4. Always think of some way to become better and improve your skills.
  5. Life is not a snake and ladder game that teaches you the survival of the fittest. It is instead, a game of chess- to win, you have to make a move.
  6. If you don’t invest in your personal or your technical skills you will be unhappy. one unhappy women = 1 unhappy family.
  7. Take a break from your daily routine and do different things.
  8. Keep upgrading yourself and Stay up-to-date on the industry/Current Role
  9. Work-life balance is not a complex one! Think it instead as "work - life integration" and you can juggle family and career well.
  10. Plan! Plan!! Plan!!! Spend lot of energy pre-planning than the Post work. Once the planning is done, then make sure you go through your sequence of planning.
  11. Planning is the most important thing. Not perfection. It’s okay to do mistakes at the initial stage and learn from it. It is a fact that every human, be it one belonging to the aristocratic society or the peasants, he/she makes 7 mistakes each day !
  12. The Quest for perfection comes when you accept yourself with your inabilities and be happy with what you are
  13. Invest (spend time) in yourself.
  14. Life is a long game. Have a mission, both personal and professional. Strive to balance between both keeping in mind to be comfortable with the choices you make.
  15. Give importance to the ME-time. That period of incubation is what gives life its productivity. It is okay to be greedy and resilient in the long run.
  16. Role models and inspiration does not mean that it has to come from some big personality. Every person, big or small you meet in your life will teach you something. Take inspiration from your surroundings, the place you live and breathe.
  17. You may fail quite a number of times. But always carry the ray of hope, for it is that hope, that distinguishes a man from a Woman.

Happy women's day !

When Life puts you down..

When life puts you down because of 2 reasons– either your boyfriend has screwed or your husband has left you. The person whom you trusted or thought can hold his hand till your death bed is not with you now. And as a woman, you are made-up to wear different hats: Wife, Sister, Colleague, Mother, Girlfriend, etc…

Forgive yourself:
The biggest mistake we do is to punish our-self for selecting the wrong person. Hold-on. Every experience in our life, is only to make us better. Forgive yourself and believe that this bad experience is going to shape you.

Take a Break:

Switch off your mobile. Carry a Notebook and pen and amble away to a place where you get some free space. It could be a park, Beach or temple. Just scribble whatever comes to your mind. Want to curse him? Write it. After sometime you could feel relaxed. Then tear the paper and take a fresh page and write down your wish list. Things you love to achieve in your life. And what are the steps you need to take. This will rejuvenate you and will see things from a different perspective

Trust God

Sometimes, it’s okay to surrender yourself to god and pray for the best. It may sound silly. But, when none of your friends and family are not in position to help you due to circumstances or their busy schedule. It’s okay to trust him and lay down under his arms (will write a separate post on how Divinity and thoughts are linked)

Time Answers Everything:

And always remember, it takes time to cure. Don't expect recover in a day or week. Just keep your mind and heart open for new life, new love and new adventurous..

And as the Raja Rani Movie tagline declares...

There is Life after love failure...
There is love after love failure...

Keep smiling and Focus on your life ....

17 Life Lessons from Stray Dogs

17 Life Lessons from Stray dogs
  1. Life is more beautiful when you share and care.Even though they never have enough to go around, they never hesitate to share what little they have with others.
  2. Always be on the lookout for opportunities. These guys aren't survivors for nothing. They grab every single opportunity they see and make the most of what they have.
  3. The importance of a nap. Got a problem you can't quite solve? Take a nap. Dog certified.
  4. To enjoy time with your family. Family time is important, so always try to make some space in your busy schedule for some fun with your loved ones.
  5. That it pays to be patient. Haste makes waste. Sometimes, you just have to bide your time and wait for the right moment.
  6. To love unconditionally. It takes a lot to love someone without expectations or judgment. These guys love for the sake of love.
  7. That being cute gets things done. When all else fails, make puppy dog eyes.
  8. And never underestimate yourself. Never get daunted by any task, obstacle or opponent. Bring it on giant foot!
  9. That nothing beats the blues like a good hug.Go ahead. Hug someone right now.
  10. To always keep your eye on the prize. Do you really want to achieve something in life? Yes? Then keep your eyes on the prize.
  11. To stick up for someone. Want to learn to be a hero? Learn from them.
  12. To love your mom. Be a good puppy and shower your mom with the love she deserves.
  13. To improvise like a boss. And have some fun while at it. Like we said, they have it tough. But that doesn't stop them, does it?
  14. To ask for help. And get it. Sometimes, all you have to do is ask.
  15. To be a doting parent. Love your kids. Because they grow up really fast.
  16. Meet your problems head on. Because only then can you solve them faster.
  17. And of course, no matter what, always keep smiling.

Failing to plan is Planning to fail

Apeksha's tenure in the last 14 years with ABC organization is the mirror for her loyalty towards the Organization. Apart from being an excellent performer as an employee, as a wife she was exceptional.

How many of us are aware that Mother is the best Project Manager? She delivers with passion in all the activities and REMEMBER she does it all alone. Let me quote a small example “I still remember the date, it’s was 25th Sep 2008. I messaged Apeksha at around 7.30PM saying that I will reach home with three of my friends who were in town to attend an urgent business meeting.” By that time I reached home I was stunned at the delicious dine in a span of 1hour! Before I went to bed I also understood that she took care of evening snacks party, again a sudden invitation given by my 12 years Son. Apeksha's planning is just perfect at work and at home. She believes in “Failing to plan is Planning to fail". She always reminds me and my son on this. We planned to give the best future to our Son, as all parents do. But her physical departure is God's plan. It is heartening from deep inside but her words are echo in my mind that warns me to plan properly and not to fail. Let this echo stop with my last breathe. Sorry not able to control my tears for the love, affection, passion etc… she shared with me and my son for all these years”. The unseen tears in my heart are paining me more...

This is the Eulogy I want my husband Adyouth to share when I depart.

I am selfish to leave him early as I can’t imagine my and my son’s life without my loving husband. Let my husband use this Eulogy to inspire and motivate himself, my son and every individual he meet to plan properly in everything we do before God’s plan of departure reach us.

Wishlist Wednesday number 3

The one thing that I wish everyone would learn is...

It’s an eye-catching sensation to watch thousand Dove flying around you. As we all know, Dove represent "Peace" what is needed in the world that would give us peace?

I feel, “Positive Approach”

If everyone starts looking only the positive side of other people/society definitely it would result in "World Peace"

Just a Small Test. Could you list out 10 random people name and write down their positive and negatives?

I guess, when you pen down the positive column, you stop, hesitate and re-think to put down in words. But just like a flow of river, you fill up the negatives. we are not ready to appreciate people's positive behaviour.

Just for one hour, look everything around you in a positive way and do post a comment how you felt it.

Landmark Forum Review

One of my colleague encouraged me to attend a three-day weekend Landmark Forum. I was impressed by the tag line which quoted, “Live Your Life Powerfully and Live a Life You Love”. On receiving upon positive testimonials like “it changes the way you think”; I decided to attend the Introductory course.

I searched in Google for Landmark Education review and my cup was filled with both Positive and negative feedback. Some reviews even said, it was a cult and spam. While few said, it enlightens the lives. Whatever it is I decided to give it a try and get my doubts answered by attending the “Special Introductions to The Landmark Forum”

The session started well by the graduates of Landmark who shared their experience of how they overcome financial problems, failed relationships, mommy issues after attending the Landmark Education training.

Definitely our behavior or attitude which was molded due to the influence of people, society and circumstance cannot be changed in a 3-day program. But they explained with a story.

Assume it’s Friday evening 8.00 P.M and you are about to start from your office. You are in Friday fever and have booked movie tickets at 9.00 P.M with your friends/family. You are passionate to watch the movie from almost a month and were dreaming about this outing/movie from morning.

When you are about to start from office, your Boss/Manager calls you. Definitely thousand thoughts will pop up in your mind. Why does he bugging me when I was about to leave? Will this guy spoil my mood by giving some crap work?

With these bombarding thoughts you step into his cubical. To your surprise, he appreciates you for the work done in the past month and offers you flight ticket to Hawaii. The offer also states that you are take 3 members from your family. Suddenly, you will be excited for the trip more than the movie outing. Even, while you are watching the movie, you will be dreaming about the Hawaii trip.

That’s what the Landmark people do say. The negative influence can be overcome with the positive thoughts.

PRONS Landmark gave people an opportunity to look at your issues from a different point of view.

J.K Rowling - Secret of Success

My favorite motivational words from J.K Rowling, the author of Harry Potter “It is impossible to live without failing at something, unless you live so cautiously that you might as well not have lived at all—in which case, you fail by default."

The author didn’t miraculously become richer than the Queen of England overnight. Despite of her divorce and raising a child on her own, she wrote the first Harry Potter book on an old manual typewriter.

Twelve publishers rejected the manuscript!!

A year later she was given the green light by Barry Cunningham from Bloomsbury, who agreed to publish the book but insisted she get a day job cause there was no money in children’s books.

What if she stopped at the first rejection? The fifth? Or the tenth?
The measure of success can be shown by how many times someone keeps going despite hearing only no. Lets take a pledge that we will succeeded despite failure and rejection.

Live and Let other Live

A few years ago at the Seattle Special Olympics, nine contestants, all with special needs assembled at the starting line for the 100-metres dash. At the gun, they all started out, not exactly in a dash, but with a relish to run the race to the finish and win. After running a little distance a boy stumbled on the asphalt, fell down and began to cry. The other eight heard the boy cry. They slowed down and looked back. They all turned around and went back. Every one of them.

One girl with Down’s syndrome bent down and kissed him and said, “This will make it better.” All nine linked arms and walked across the finish line together.

Everyone in the stadium stood, and the cheering went on for several minutes. People who were there are still telling the story.

Why?

Because deep down we should learn one thing, "More than winning or living for ourselves, what truly matters in this life is helping others win, even if it means slowing down and changing our course."

We need to learn and change the world to make it a better place for everyone

Soak No More

This post had been written for a The Surf Excel Matic #SoakNoMore Contest on Indiblogger

An ant can do anything and no matter what the situation is, it holds to its morale and rules. Most of us would have seen our legendary wall (RAHUL DRAVID) on TV and his disciplined attitude with which people recognize him. We need to take inspiration from the discipline that ants possess and our WALL Dravid using ants to symbolize this at most of the traffic signals. It’s no surprise that ants are the right representatives of discipline. It’s about maintaining traffic, discipline, grit and working relentlessly to achieve the goal constructively.

And on these grounds let me recap a story of ANT. Right from our childhood we have been listening to so many ant stories, anti-stories and in fact “aunty stories” too. Let me recap a short story of an ant by name SFT. It’s not the sft land( square feet) that we hear. Its name of an ant who was so inspired by ‘Charles Darwin’ theory of ‘Survival of the Fittest’ and kept his name as ‘SFT’.
SFT is a tough customer and handles the entire critical situation with ease. It also has a liking to our so called ‘Social Culture’. It entered into our cultured society and spent 6 months. SFT was disappointed with this 6 months onsite opportunity. The major two observations that SFT was disappointed were:

1) “Culture has expanded wings but is so wild in nature to understand and digest” and

2) “Culture has become like English people who ruled us before independence”.

The only difference was that before 1947 people ruled people and now culture is dictating the minds and thoughts of the people. As we knew we had Gandhiji and other great leaders to bring independence, but SFT felt bad that now we don’t have Gandhiji to guide the people’s mind with the right approach and strongly believes that every individual should be strong enough not to become a slave to our culture. It also advises that we ourselves should have control to guide upcoming generations in right manner. So SFT is back to the ant community leaving a message "Enjoying the culture is always apprehensive but let's SOAKNOMORE into it. else will take a wild turn". So let each of us be good ANT (Always Nurturing Thoughts)

Just For Today

1. Just for today I will be happy. This assumes that what Abraham Lincoln said is true, that “most folks are about as happy as they make up their minds to be.” Happiness is from within; it is not a matter of externals.

2. Just for today, I will try to adjust myself to what is and not try to adjust everything to my own desires. I will take my family, my business and my luck as they come and fit myself to them.

3. Just for today I will take care of my body, I will exercise it, care for it, nourish it, not abuse it nor neglect it, so that it will be a perfect machine for my bidding.

4. Just for today, I will try to strengthen my mind. I will learn something useful. I will not be a mental loafer. I will read something that requires effort, thought and concentration.

5. Just for today, I will exercise my soul in three ways. I will do somebody a good turn and not get found out. I will do at least two things I don’t want to do, as William James suggests, just for exercise.

6. Just for today, I will be agreeable. I will look as well as I can, dress as becomingly as possible, talk low, act courteously, be liberal with praise, criticize not at all, nor find fault with anything and not try to regulate nor improve anyone.

7. Just for today, I will try to live through this day only, not to tackle my whole life problem at once. I can do things for twelve hours that would appall me if I had to keep them up for a lifetime.

8. Just for today I will have a program. I will write down what I expect to do every hour. I may not follow it exactly, but I will have it. It will eliminate two pests; hurry and indecision.

9. Just for today, I will have a quiet half-hour all by myself and relax. In this half-hour sometimes I will think of God so as to get a little more perspective into my life.
  10. Just for today, I will be unafraid, especially I will not be afraid to be happy, to enjoy what is beautiful, to love and to believe that those I love, love me.
