Happy Friendship day ~~ You guys are always special

Hi Guys,
Happy Friendship day...

My family is always so special...First time in my life, I feel friends are special too. They are always sweet and add fun to our life. No doubt, they too are one among our family. don’t they?

If you guys are not in my life… I must have been trashed long back.
If friends are not in my life.. Definitely “Touch of Mist” would have not been travelled to its destination.
This post is a dedication to my all sweet friends who made a smile on my face and an engrave in my heart

ABITHA:

In the movie Vaanathia pola Prabu Deva will say, “Dear students, I was appreciated as though I have done a great achievement. All these encomiums are because of him my brother and not me. If my brother had not toiled head to educate me I would have been a cowboy in some village.”
Its very much true in my case,
"Dear Abi, my achievements are only because of you...
If you had not motivated whenever I step back, “Touch of Mist” would have NOT been today.
I must have not molded into a perfect person."
Guys, If you get a loving friend like Abi as in my case, even you guys would have done greater achievements."
BALA:
You told me once, “I am really proud of u...you are doing many things, You are a writer,,IT  professional,, athlete,, woow really great..Should appreciate your parents for helping u to achieve all these”

Bala, I am really not sure, whether I am upto your thoughts. But from the day you said, I started working towards it. Thanks Bala. Its really makes us feel so confident to have friends like you..

DHIRAJ:

Without you, I will not know the philosophy of life. When I sense “Problem Is just peeping out at my windows” I just rush to you and scream. You are always there to give a valid/likable solution.

GOPI KRISHNAN:
Gopi, who always say, “Its passing cloud.. The pain will pass away”.
I know, how much complaints you heard. There is no doubt, I can write a non-fiction novel about the things you have done to me..Will do that Gopi.

Nisha – Who takes the rights and fights with me whenever I don’t talk or avoid her :P Love you dear.

Rahini:

The most admirable girl in my family. I always salute your maturity and the way you present yourself. I really feel proud that more than cousin bonding, we have a friendship bond

Ramya – Ooie, Do I need to mention about you? Po girl, are in my heart and you value more than that... Love you sweetie...

Ramya Keezhillath - You have been played a mother role at times dear :) I am lucky and proud to have you in my life.

During my book editing, there was a scenario where "the heroine gets so irritated, that she would delete hero contact from her phone."
I asked you, is that scenario possible? I was stunned by your answer.
You said, "I deleted your contact once, when you hurt me :P" Still we are friends and hang out.. That's the mutual bonding :)

Prakash Mams:

You have been always in my dad’s role. When I do a mistake without my knowledge, you are dare to correct me. I really feel happy, that few things which cannot be told to my sister I was able to share with you.
Remember? The fight I had with my sister and I called up to complain about it?  You were inbetween us like a friend to solve the gap...
Cant forgot it.....

PRADEEP
God sends few people just to keep us happy and progressed. I promise, you are the person who motivates me form the bottom of the heart. Thanks a lot :)

Anitha – I always feel pity of you dear. You are the one who takes up my stress, anger, mood-swings. Even if I shout at you very badly, then next  moment, you come back with a smile and say, “My Deeps, I know about you…" Love you for that. And sorry for :P :P the anger thrown on you ”

SEELAN :
Friends can motivate, guide and support. But more than that, you have been longing for my change and happiness. Thanks Seelan, For your guide and words at the right time

Nachi -

Its always good to have friends in the writing field. It really makes me proud, when you show your post first to me. Writing not only thought me valuable lessons in my life. But also few good friends like you :)

PRITHIV:
I always feel you are my god’s gift. Since I met you at a holy place. You are always responsible for my positive change in my life.

SWATHI:

You are not my friend. you are my darling :) :) Miss you dear :) Come to blore soon

Vignesh:
A life with a brother is always interesting. Thanks Vicky. You filled that gap. You are more than a brother. Though you are a small
kid, I learned few things from you – Help everyone, Do anything for friends. Carefree attitude and much more...

Few of my people are not in the above list. But always in my heart.
Bhavaya, Nageswar, Mahesh, Kiran, Pratyusha, Rati, Raghva, Shilpa, Thumma and Yeraballi. You guys will be stayed in my heart and mind for ever. Definitely one year UHG is my golden period of my life and it will be always... It cant be replaced.

Nisha, Samu, Siva Akka, Kalpana, Shobana Vijayalakshmi, Vidhya, Vidhya II :P , Siva Sakthi – Definitely my Hyderabad hostel life is the most cheerful day and those are only because of you...

Few of my cousins.. Sharmi, Sindhu, Keerthana, Nivedha Duraisamy, Keerthi chandra... The list goes on...

And finally my new friends!?
Anil, Prasad, Gopi, Madhan and Vijay...
Though I was not that lucky enough to work with you people, those few days in my life will be always cherished..
Loads of talents, Laughs, innovation, Hardwork.. my god, you guys are the best and going to rock for sure :) Love you team...

I have missed few of my lovable and caring friends too...It’s because of the work, circumstance, my attitude and choice I had...

Special thanks to them as well..

Ring the Bell

"Coming.." I answered for the 5th time to the person who was standing outside and recklessly pressing the doorbell for the past 10 minutes.
I tried forcing myself to land my legs on the floor to wake up but couldn’t succeed. I covered my face with blanket and went back to sleep again.

This time my mobile buzzed and I answered in a sleepy tone, "hello".
I could hear my maid’s voice from the other end requesting me to open the door as she was buzzing it for the past 10 minutes. Finally I opened the door with my regular sentence, “Sorry, was watching movie late night. Couldn’t get up at all when you rang the doorbell”
She gave me a nasty smile and walked towards the kitchen to kick off with her work as she knew this was my default dialogue over every Sunday morning.

While brushing my teeth, I asked her about her kids just to keep up the conversation, (being a working women it is very difficult for me to even say Hi to her during week days) .
With proud she said, "All started going to school". I was happy to hear her kid’s studying.  Meanwhile I finished my brushing and was heading toward sofa, she gave coffee along with an application form to be filled in. As it was in English she requested me to help her.

It was actually an application form to open new account in a bank. After I had written her full name in BOLD letters, went to the second field which was Date of birth. While I asked her date of birth (in my mind based on her physical appearance I concluded that she must be in her late 30’s.) While I was deciding on her age she responded “Madam its Oct 2nd 1990”

I was shocked that she is much younger to me. With this big surprise I completed filling her form. She continued with her work but my thoughts were around her.

She has 4 children at the age of 22. As per my guess, she should have been married at age 12 and had the first child at age of 13. While all these was running in my mind she said she have finished the work and will take leave.

I stopped her for a moment and out of anxiety/ curiosity asked her, if she doesn’t take me wrong can she tell me Is her family from very rural place?
She answered, "Ours is town not village”.
Then I couldn’t stop myself asking her next question that, then why did she get married so soon?
For that she replied, she was very good in studies and dreamed to become a teacher. But her parents were not interested in girls getting education. So they stopped her studies after she finished 5th and in couple of years they got her married, as her parents felt a girl child is a burden and she was not strong enough to oppose them. So she had to marry the person whom they said. She thought she will convince her husband after marriage for further studies, but her in laws wanted kid and so on..
Her whole life was twisted.

While she was about to take leave she said, "I will not do injustice to my four female kids."
I felt very proud for her but felt guilty for losing a Teacher.

There are number of children who get married at very early stage. Pease stop the Child marriage and empower the girls by offering them opportunities to gain skills and education. This is happening to our sisters, mothers, grandmothers, aunts, and daughters around the world. Its our time to wake up and Ring the bell.

This post is submitted Ring The Bell for IndiChange contest

Touch of Mist - A Hi Tech Romantic Love Story

Touch of Mist - A Hi Tech Romantic Love Story

About the Book:

Reena was distraught. It seemed unbelievable that she too had succumbed to this rat race of life. The consequences had been dire: a marriage that had broken even before the profundity of those three magical words, “I Love You” could sink in.

Touch of Mist” is a glitzy, modern-day love story of two young, sophisticated, IT professionals, Gautham and Reena, who meet by chance, sparks ignite and they fall head over heels in love with each other.

They tie the knot and start a new life. But no sooner do they do that that fights erupt and egos clash. The first casualty is love, which plummets and marriage turns miserable; break-up beckons and the relationship dies.

Aftermath. Does Reena commit suicide or fall in love with another person? Does she reconcile with her first love Gautham?

This story meanders through different emotions that touch the lives of the protagonists such as love, friendship, marriage, heartbreak, grief, anticipation, humour, disgust, joy, fear and ends with a heart-warming credo that “Life is to Live”.

Failing to plan is Planning to fail

Apeksha's tenure in the last 14 years with ABC organization is the mirror for her loyalty towards the Organization. Apart from being an excellent performer as an employee, as a wife she was exceptional.

How many of us are aware that Mother is the best Project Manager? She delivers with passion in all the activities and REMEMBER she does it all alone. Let me quote a small example “I still remember the date, it’s was 25th Sep 2008. I messaged Apeksha at around 7.30PM saying that I will reach home with three of my friends who were in town to attend an urgent business meeting.” By that time I reached home I was stunned at the delicious dine in a span of 1hour! Before I went to bed I also understood that she took care of evening snacks party, again a sudden invitation given by my 12 years Son. Apeksha's planning is just perfect at work and at home. She believes in “Failing to plan is Planning to fail". She always reminds me and my son on this. We planned to give the best future to our Son, as all parents do. But her physical departure is God's plan. It is heartening from deep inside but her words are echo in my mind that warns me to plan properly and not to fail. Let this echo stop with my last breathe. Sorry not able to control my tears for the love, affection, passion etc… she shared with me and my son for all these years”. The unseen tears in my heart are paining me more...

This is the Eulogy I want my husband Adyouth to share when I depart.

I am selfish to leave him early as I can’t imagine my and my son’s life without my loving husband. Let my husband use this Eulogy to inspire and motivate himself, my son and every individual he meet to plan properly in everything we do before God’s plan of departure reach us.

Touch of Mist - My obstacles and hurdles

I owe all the directors, whoever involved in the film making process. Because now I am to realize the pain, struggle and effort you put in for making 2 hour duration movie when I was almost dead for making just 2 minute teaser for my book.

CAST:

Choosing the cast was a difficult task than writing 65,000 word novels. I imagined my female protagonist to be pretty stylish and posh, whereas the male protagonist to be modern with too much of attitude.

As the most famous proverb says,

If I get a guy with or equal to a person whom I imagined or narrated, I won’t get a best matching pari for him and vice-versa. Just to get the cast, it almost took 3 months of search.

Did it go smooth after 3 months of search?

No . . .

There popped up the critical issues "dates" and “Location”

Getting the appointment of cinematographer, cast and myself al together was much tougher.

Sometimes the easiest way or the preferable solution which I used to overcome this problem would be "TO QUIT,” Which I thought several times. Did I implement that quitting at-least properly?

No, I quit the thought of “Quitting” and again started putting more efforts to achieve the goal.

Finally with god’s grace after three months of struggle, everybody came to sync. Then the location issue came up.

We had just one day to shoot, and in one day considering Bangalore traffic, we can’t choose a place with complete opposite direction for both indoor and outdoor shoots.

But I must say after trying with Lumbini gardens, cubbon park and few of my colleague/Friend’s house for indoor shots. Nothing was satisfactory. Again, either the indoor or the outdoor will be of 2 opposite directions.

But all of a sudden I got an excellent place for shooting the indoor shots. I must have not got a better place that this one. Moreover, it was very near to Lalbagh garden. Getting approval to shoot the place was not at all a possible option. Luckily, they agreed for me. The good thing I did was I sent them immediately requesting approval to shoot inside the premises.

That helped me the next day, when the manager stepped back saying, no we can’t allow to shoot our premises. The mail helped me to convince the manager and there we go. We shot our indoor shots.

Wherever I go, I used to take with my laptop just my third hand. First time I left my laptop at home which contained all the information about shooting details.

That’s it, the scene which we supposed to take(cute, bubbly stills) was gone.

We just went on with the stills that was recorded in our mind.

I was not having any other option just to thank god "ok the video completed" other than having satisfactory performance.

Sometimes i sunk my head under the pillow and question my soul, why does it take so much effort just for a 3 minute video. Why the hell I should Suffer so much? When the people around me have a proper sleep, food at right time, spend time with my family and not me? ?

My friend said, “ok if you want a normal life like them, then no one is stopping you. Don’t think of anything like video or your book release. But if you want an extraordinary life then forget sleep, food and time with family just for few days until you reach your destiny.

Hobbies/Passion are the things which makes us happy. Writing made me happy. But when I tried to put expectation towards it, my passion started burning me. Then I learnt, Ok i am not going to expect any victory towards my passion. Let me just enjoy the journey

Lessons I Learned:

1. There's no such thing as failures-- just delayed success. :)

2. If you hit a ball and it was supposed to go 100mts, but it just reaches 15 mts. Dont complain, why does it happend for me. Instead, change your target limit and Set your target to 150mts and put your efforts, then definitely it will reach at-least 80mts.

3. Why it is so, for some people “Success is like eating an ice cream” and for some people its like eating a bitter guard

There are people who dont have a chance just to see those bitter guard too. Compare your life with them and feel satisfied. But dont stop learning lessons from the achievers.

4. when you work or put efforts towards your passion, dont expect success. Just enjoy the journey

Namma City Namma Run - TCS World 10K run 2013

My 3rd Marathon/2nd World TCS 10K run experience. . .
A record 23,000 people are participating in the run. Among the 7 different categories, including World 10K, The Nation’s Challenge, Open 10K, 10K Challenge, Majja Run, Senior Citizens’ Run and Champions with Disability, I participated in Majja Run this time. Because, from my company I had only this option to opt for.

This is my third Marathon. First being TCS World 10K run 2012, second Pinkathon 2013 and TCS World 10K run 2013 (Majja Run)
I really enjoyed the run (Okay cool. . Jog, Walk, stroll). Because this time, I was able to run energetically from the beginning till finish of the run. I guess it’s due to the experience of previous 2 runs.

What a special care and attention we received from our corporate security team. It was an excellent arrangement by our teams. My company is well known for the employee welfare and when it comes to corporate run, they do take extra care. Since it was raining yesterday, they provided us ponchos for rain for a safety measure and our team were there at end to greet us with excellent snacks.. The periodical check they took on the welfare of the employees really gave us a nice feel.

Thanks to all my colleague who made this a run a fantastic one . . .

If you like this post, you would like my Novel "Touch of Mist" too...

Writing - The other Side

Other Side of being a writer

Brain FOG
Your brain dysfunction due to the thoughts of the story and the plot. Typically, your brain starts to ache due to thinking.
You will miss your loved ones
  • Once, my loved one was on bed with high fever and cold, I dint even react to offer help as my thoughts were frozen with the book ideas and story.
  • You will not respond to your friends calls and messages.
  • Wont spend time with family
lack progress in career advancement
Research do say, Humans have the ability to multi-task. But trust me, its little challenging to handle more than one task at the same time. If you concentrate on your writing, there is a down fall in your career.
If you focus on your career, your writing stuffs gets halted.
Protagonist
Irrespective of deceleration of disclaimer in different phases like, "Its an imaginary story," , "Fiction",  "All characters appearing in this work are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental." people end up asking "was it your story?",  "Come-on, Its must be your story?" even more worse people conclude and argue its must be your story.
No Break
You tend to forget break. No eating, no drinking water, No eating proper foods... No Make-up too :(

Lack of sleep and body pains are additional complimentary.....
Still, When you publish and when your friends appreciate your work, All the pain turns to sweet nothings...
