The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho review

  • "The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho" is a story about a shepherd who is in search of "Finding his Treasure".  On the way of his search of treasure, he meets different people, different nations and at the end he finds out that the treasure is the journey  itself.

Some of the inspiring quote from the book,
  • When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.
  • There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure.
  • 'Everything that happens once can never happen again. But everything that happens twice will surely happen a third time.
  • Imagine if everyone went around transforming lead into gold. Gold would lose its value.
  • "I'm like everyone else—I see the world in terms of what I would like to see happen, not what actually does."
  • Sometimes it's better to be with the sheep, who don't say anything. And better still to be alone with one's books. They tell their incredible stories at the time when you want to hear them. But when you're talking to people, they say some things that are so strange that you don't know how to continue the conversation.
  • Everyone seems to have a clear idea of how
other people should lead their lives, but none about his or her own.
  • BE PREPARED FOR CHANGE- BE GRATEFUL FOR THE JACKETS WEIGHT AND WARMTH

  1. I really enjoyed this book. It was very intellectually stimulating and I loved the dramatic writing style of this author. This is the story of a Shepard boy who travels very far to find his true calling. What begins as a journey ends up as a discovery. This is a great book that I would read again. It is a great story about personal legend and following omens!
