IndiBlogger - A Special Thanks & Dedication

Men are addicted to Cricket and Women are addicted to Shopping.
And
Bloggers?
.
.
.
.
.
.

They are addicted to IndiBlogger.

It was in December 2009, I started a blog with no purpose.  What to write about?

Cooking? Oh no, I am good only at eating.

Fashion? I am known for outdated styles.

Technology?  Oops. I am yet to find the answer for the question "How am I surviving in this software Industry?"

Photography? I am good only at posing for photos.

Parenting? I myself still a baby :P

Relationships?  Excuse me !!!

So, What to scribble about?

My sister's son was born in 2007 and even after 8 years, I always reminisce the baby’s first touch, his first whoop, his first roll-over, his first kiss. It flash in my mind like it happened yesterday. Penned about the excitement of his birth and posted my first article in my blog.

"My Fun, My Memories, My Life..." I added the title for my blog and decided to capture my opinions and thoughts. I am choosy and very bad at networking. Those days, I was not in social networking sites too. So I hardly had Zero readers. My mom and dad were always busy and never even looked at the link I mail them. My sister's automated recorded reply when I share my post link would be, "Will read later". Unfortunately, all my friends have an aversion to reading too.

But to be honest, I never bothered about getting readers. I feel content, when I complete an article and I loved that feeling.

Months Passed..

All work and No play makes Jack a dull boy.
Same way, All writing and No readers made me a dull blogger slowly. . .

I don’t remember how I landed up in Indiblogger. I registered with Indiblogger and my blog was approved after few days. I remember the silly mistakes I did after signing up. I posted my blog link in a forum for which I got a warning from one of the fellow bloggers. As days passed, I learned the rules of the forum.

When I was a newbie with IndiBlogger (ie, one week old), I got an invite for The Surf Excel Matic IndiBlogger Meet (#SoakNoMore.)

The word “Bloggers meet” persuaded me. Since its on a Saturday, I did not give a second thought to register for the meet. It was the first meet in my life, that I was facing a big crowd. I have never been for a get-together too. It was a thrilling moment to see all bloggers at a place. When the Blogger meet kicked off, Anoop triggered his first question to the crowd, “Do we have any Bloggers celebrating Birthday’s this week.” I got goosebumps when I heard the word "Bloggers" and August 10th was my birthday, hence I got up from my seat.

“These birthday babies get a gift hamper from Surf Excel and Indiblogger” He announced and handed a big gift. Since I came with empty hand, I was concerned about carrying the gift back to my home. (Took an Auto to carry the gift back to my home :) )

Dear Indiblogger, 2011 was a dreadful year and hence I was hoping 2012 would be a good start. When I received this gift in front of 200+ people, I felt myself as a lucky charm. All the bloggers conveyed their advance birthday wishes. One will not understand my emotion, But that moment gave me a confidence for the future

Someone captured this beautiful picture of me.

@IndiBlogger meet
This picture gave me guts to upload my picture in Facebook. Till that time, I was not confident to display my face in social media and hence one could see Jyothika or Dog photo as my profile picture.

Each and every second I spent in that meet was spectacular. Not only our first bicycle ride, first love, first holiday trip with family, first smart phone experience are treasured(IndiBlogger's know, the reason for this mention :P ). But, first Blogger meet experience would be remembered by every IndiBlogger.

I must mention a point here, after a big tragedy that happened in 2011, I cornered myself at my home. This blog meet made me to come out of that. I decided not to Soak more in my problems.

After that meet, with full fledge I started writing more post, and promoted it Via Indivine.

Every month there were lot of competitions launched and I never fail to take part in it. Though I never bag the title, (one day I will) I love participating in it. I realized that my writing is getting better day by day and my creativity quotient is fostered.

Coming to happy hours. Before few months, the first thing in the morning and the last thing at night is to check my What's app and mobile. After the Happy hours launch, the first thing and the last thing I do is to check IndiBlogger website for HH contest.

I failed in HH too. My first 3 entries were continuously terribly rejected by Indiblogger. Then I learned my mistake and surmounted. When I won, 1500 voucher in Happy hours for the first time, the happiness I felt was phenomenal. I researched a lot to buy an item that I can keep as a momento for my IndiBlogger triumphant. I brought a photo frame and kept it as a memory. My parents feel so happy when I call and say, "Today’s happy hours also got approved."

Crazy Happy Hours
There were days, where I stopped my car in highways to submit my entry...
There were days where I rushed to nearest Airtel tower to get faster internet access.

My sister who was observing all these from long got motivated to start a blog. We never knew she was a good writer too. When we were kids, you were giving tough competition in academics and discipline. Now in IndiBlogger contest too. ITS NOT FARE!!!

Just kidding! All the best Sweetie :)

Thank you Indiblogger, for such a wonderful opportunities and memories..

You cheered my mood during my tough times...

You made me to believe that I have the capacity to scribble something...

You made my family members happy...

You blessed me with lots of blogger friends...

You gifted me with lots of prodigious readers...

New year Resolution with Micromax Canvas Tab P666

New year Resolution with Micromax Canvas Tab P666

New year is know for Resolutions.
I am an avid Trekker and my Year resolution for the year 2015 is to do more trekking and explore more places. But I do face lot of challenges when I go for a 3-4 day trekking in dense rain forest or in any mountains.
The First and foremost problem that every trekker face would be the battery problem. It drains out so easily. We struggle to contact our co-trekkers in case they get lost and also call our family at least once in a day to inform that we are safe.
Second, its impossible to find the correct Trail and reach the top of the mountain. But I was so excited to know about the launch of Micromax Canvas Tab P666 recently. No doubt its going to be the best buddy for all the avid trekkers. Below are the top 6 reasons for me to choose Micromax Canvas Tab P666 and its gonna help me in fulfilling my new year resolution 2015.
  1. Take More photos and upload in Face book and Share in Whatsapp.
  2. Easily track GPS location
  3. Read more books during my travel
  4. Blog More and Participate in Indiblogger Contest.
  5. Battery Backup
  6. Capture More Videos
Take More photos and upload in Face book and Share in Whatsapp.
When I go for a trekking, I tend to meet many new people and the eclectic hills and bewitching beauty of the nature tempts me to take more photos and Selfies. Micromax Canvas Tab P666 comes with 1 GB RAM and it will be helpful in capturing lots and lots of photos and upload it in facebook then and there. Another interesting feature it comes with 800x1280 pixels resolution. Do photo freaks like me need any other reason to grab the Micromax Canvas Tab P666 launch? It also comes with 2MP Front Camera, so I am going to get the selfie with excellent clarity and can share in whats app immediately to all my friends..

Battery Backup /Easily track GPS location
I use GPS to locate the location exactly and for that a good battery back up tab is needed. I was so excited on hearing the Micromax Canvas Tab P666 is with 4400mAh battery. Unbelievable!!! Which means 325 hours of stand by time and 6 hours of browsing time. In those 6 hours I can easily trek 2 mountains with the help of GPS :) It has Prioritized contact list and hence I can call my fellow co-trekker as soon as I get lost. Imagine yourself, getting lost in the middle of forest and you open up the phone to call your friend for help then you realize you need to scroll 100 contacts before you find your friend. Thanks Micromax for the Prioritized contact list option.

Read more books during my travel

One thing, I miss during trekking is books and blogging. Since it has 8 GB ROM and its also Expandable up to 32GB, I can preserve all the Ebook in Micromax Canvas Tab P666 and read it whenever I want to. Hooray, I can read while hiking, Eating, halting and when the whole world sleeps. I can read connecting to nature by sitting on top the mountain and accompanying the sun rise.
I can even watch 127 hours movie while hiking to Blue John Canyon :P

Blog More and Participate in Indiblogger Contest.
When ever I go for long trekking say a duration of 10 days, I miss the deadlines of all the Indiblogger contest. If Micromax Canvas Tab P666 was with me, I can blog my experience then and there. Before I go to bed I can post about the day experience and infact participate in all the Indiblogger Contest.

Capture More Videos:
Though Photos bring back the memories, nothing can replace a Video memory. In trekking, we do l lot of dance, chit-chats and much more. All the nature can be best captured in Videos. At the end of the Trekking, we make a beautiful video with all the photo and vidoes. Since Micromax Canvas Tab P666 comes with 1080p HD video recording and playback I love to opt for it.

Every year I make new year resolutions and break it in few days due to lack of motivation or encouragement. But Thanks to Micromax Canvas Tab P666 for its excellent features, its is sure going to motivate me to achieve my new year goals of Trekking as well as writing more books.

I wish I could be like . . .

Here, we go, the post for the last prompt of the wish list Wednesday. . .

Everything in this world, is an inspiration of some or the other thing.
Taj Mahal -  to be the inspiration for Shah Jahan's to illustrate his love story
The hairstyle we change, to match with Cricket player :)
The action we imitate by seeing a Ranjikanth movie.
Everything is an inspiration.

My inspiration or I wish I could be like my

My Mom - Mom are always special. She is our first teacher. Waiting for us without having a dinner. waking me with a hot cup of tea. Playing with her grand child, sacrificing anything for their child. She did it all with grace. She is a lovely person and a lovely mother to have. I am today only because of her. She is cool and loverly.
There is no doubt, she is the only person who loves us the most without expecting anything in return. I wish when I am a mom, I wanted to be like her.

Dad - He is always my hero :)

When I was born, he held my tiny fingers to teach the alphabet. When I am 6 years old, he sung the rhymes along with me. When I am 10, he used to ask me the formulas for (A+B)2 while dropping in school. When I was 18, he just caressed my head and wished "All the best for my graduation"
Rather than saying, he was a perfect dad, I was inspired by the way he was a "PERFECT DAD" at different stages.

I don't believe in another birth, but in case, if it is true, I wanted to be a "dad" for him and my dad to be "my daughter". I am not sure whether I can perform the duties in a perfect way as he did, but at least I will give my best.

My Sister Ramya - Hmm, without her, my childhood might not been colorful. People do say, the younger child are lucky, because they have two mother. The second one is the sister. Its was very true in my case. Right from getting me up ready for school, feeding food, advising at right time. I wish at-least one day, I wanted to be her Elder sister and perfrom her role

Puppy - who licks me everyday to wake me up even before my alarm clock as a sign of "Good morning wish". I would like to cultivate the value of gratitude from my dog

Sanju Kutty( 5 year old) - Who gave half of his chocolate and a kiss on my cheek. Does the love and kiss of a child gives so much happiness and exicetment? If so, I would like to be that kid.

Auto Driver - The auto driver who was so geniue and got my salute for being not demanding extra meter fare, Night fare, return fare.. bla bla (At least blore ppl should be aware of this one)

Farmer - Because of you, we are taste food. Without you, there is no world.

Instead of being just one person, I would like to learn or be like that person who teaches me a good thing.good activity in some or the other way

Early Morning !!!

Who doesn’t love, kicking the Phone which Snooze every 10 Minutes and sleeping till morning 11 (AM or PM??) on week ends and having a brunch? But Nothing can trade the happines of waking at 5 and delighting the morning Splender!!!

My Friends say, its effortless to seek Deepika in a Book Mall when lost!!!
Because, it might me be a 15 floor LIC building with Pile of books comprising horror, fantasy, fiction, novels, short stories but stll I end up landing in Self help section. Hmmm tats the reason, I enrolled (Flattered) for the session even though it was a week end.

With a backup of alarm in 3 phones (Hoping, if one Fails, other might give me a hand!!) I slept, and got up before 6(Trust me!!I did). After a Shower with cold ice rain, I started to office. On the way i gave pose to Sunlight which kept flashing at me. Hey the sun is round and orange!!? I evoked my school day painting competition which I draw (okey!!Traced one Rupees coin for getting round shaped Sun) and painted it Orange.

The Shopkeepers were inaugurating with sincerity and offerings. Hot hot News Paper with fresh printing smells arrived. It would have been fulfilled, if a bird would sung a love song for me!!. Oops!!! I am in IT Hub which is sealed with big apartments??? But here comes a replacement with whistle sounds -Yes its milk Cooker sound!!!

I dumbfounded whether it was bangalore, as it was Less traffice (Yes I cant quote No Traffice even at this early morning). After admiring, I stepped into bus accompanied by a School student. Oh!!She does the exact way i do when i was at school. She was recollecting her answeres by covering the text book with hand key got exicted when she was correct. Another kid with eyes full of tears and request of not going to school got into bus. Oh poor boy, He doesnt know the trick of taking leave with stomach pain or leg pain drama!!! Oh my stop came!!!

I finally got down with bunch of staggering memories. Rely me!! Get up once at 6 and start your tour in your city. You will find the other side of your life!!!

Am I lucky or Un-Lucky???

How many people get a chance to go college while working ? But i don't know whether its a varam or sabam??

Yes!!! PESIT, Top 1 Institute in Karnataka. People dream to study in those college. I, sorry We(ACE) students got a chance to study in that college.

Whenever I think of something which happened MS class.. I don't forget to laugh or atleast a smile visits my face. Anitha, Abitha, Lavanya all there are equally good in cracking jokes. Malar who always enters like police at the last and question us, hey please repeat from the starting.
Passing paper, drawing a buffalo's face and narrating my friends name next to it!!!
Tying to knot the shawl of 2 people, criticizing sir, eating Biscuits and playing games in classroom we never missed any fun.kiddish!!! isnt it??

But It pains a lot when I think of MS. Could any one study with criticism like,
MS course is not valid. we are into 5th sem, yet we dint get first sem mark sheet.
Everyday getting up at 5 to go college and traveling 2 hours to reach college.

I dont know when a solution will be given to it.

Will MS qualification add to my name ? ?

Software Engineer ??? Huh !!

"A person without any aim in life is like a rudderless ship"

My aim is (WAS) to become
  • an air hostess When I was a kid.
  • Sports player when I came district 2nd in 100mts dash.
  • A scientist when I came across the inventions of Albert Einstein, Sir Isaac Newton, Louis Pasteur
What Next +2? - The question that bothers all students in +2.

I used to escape by answering,

"A chemistry teacher" to chemistry Sir .
" A Maths teacher" to Maths sir.
"Tamil Miss" to Tamil Sir. :-)

Great people Say, before you choose an aim answer these 3 questions:

1) what do u feel like doing?
2) what are u interested at?
3) which subject can u do better?

My answer for all the three were

1) Anything, but not a Software Engineer
2) Anything, but not a Software Engineer
3)Anything, but not a Software Engineer

My desire was to become an Mathematician.
My dad too encouraged by saying, you are good at Maths, you can go a head.
As always Maths Lecturer are in demand in all Engineering and arts college, I joined Bsc Maths by negotiating BE-ECE seat in KSR college.

My inspiration - D.Vishwanathan (DV) sir, who teaches maths relating to Real world.
Staffs encouraged me to do MCA after Bsc by seeing the marks. Everybody in my class Joined T.I.M.E and Brilliant Tutorials.

I asked myself . . Why am I not pulled towards IT Field??? Why MCA craze was not with me??

my focus was on MSc Maths. Days Passed.
5th Sem study holidays. As usual watching TV and sleeping.
I received message from my class mate "Campus interview for HCL on OCT 18th"
Simply I took Written Test and was short listed. Interview was scheduled next day - Oct 19th -2006.
My mom advised, At any case you should not feel bad in case you are not selected.
I shook my head and attend without any dream.
:-) :-) I was placed in HCL.

Later in HCL, IBM and Wipro.

I remembered the days with Kiruthika. We both used to sit, think and note down the points for "Drawbacks of software engineer"
After that day, I reversed the paper and started writing the advantage of "Software Field"

Happy New Year

"We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is New Year's Day"

I love New Year as its a day where we think whom we are, what are we doing, what needs to be improved. Its like taking a new birth. Excitement fills when we remove old calender and hang up new one.

For me, the day usually begins with a special delicious breakfast prepared by my cute mom (Of course helped by me & my special dad). Then, I would go for a temple near by - by default its "Murugan Temple". Rarely, My sister accompany me.

So now its time to welcome 2010. Of course its a special year, as many miracles are going to happen in my family :)
Every-year I make a list of resolutions which expires with a validity period of 1 day.

Every Year,My New Year's resolution will be,

  • I wont fight with my sister.
  • will get up in early morning - (yes, getting sharply at 9.00 followed by suprabatham of my mom)
  • Wont watch TV
  • Listen to my mom & help her in cooking & cleaning the house.
Making New Year resolutions are very easy. Keeping track of it is very hard. In fact, Experts says, 97 percent of New Year resolutions are broken. Yes, this year too I have taken some resolution with a confident of implementing it.

My New Year's Resolutions 2010:

Repeat of last year's Resolution ;)

  • To Read more books
  • Start doing Exercise -My Mom's request, (PT Master request)
  • Family Trip to Abroad - I need to take my parents (its ok, my sister also) to some place outside India, may be Singapore.
I stop with 3, as I believe too much resolutions lead to No action.
From my resolutions, its clearly understood that I am not going to sacrifice anything. Just going to add some good habits- to make my life colorful. As a positive quote says, "Dont imagine a white elephant" tempts to imagine a white elephant. I don't want to repeat a bad habit by saying "I wont sleep till 9:00". Instead, "I will get up at 7:00" :)

View on Software Industry

Most people discourage persons who work in Software industry. They say its a stressful job, you need to support 24*7, work should be primary and personal life should be secondary and so many talks.

They feel Teaching job is better. its because of 9-6 job.

The only statement which comes out of their mouth would be "IT is Crap". "Software Industry Sucks"

Here are the reasons why a person should choose IT as their career:
  • If you are interested in learning new things, then of course "Software Industry" is the right place"
  • If you just love working with computers then probably you'll be happy in the software industry because you'll be getting paid for doing what you love.
Health Care:
  • People say, If you are in the industry for more than 3 years, chances are high that you will fall sick. Back -Pain, head-ache, are the ultimate bonus .Actually, its not.Everywhere you have the problems, for a Teacher, Shouting at students too makes BP to Peak. For a doctor, handling patients also keeps him frustrated. Its in our hands how we take our profession and deal with
  • Moreover, you are getting a chance to work with most intelligent people. your mind is always kept fresh.
  • If you want your life-Style to be some what better its the right place.
  • Every Coin has both head and tail. Same fits here. you have some disadvantages in Software professional. Its does not mean its completely a blood-sucking job.
All the best for Software professionals!!!
